I loooooove a fun DIY project.
If you don't already know, I dance Salsa... That and Bachata and Kizomba. Lately there have been a lot more social nights happening in Nairobi. Social nights, are basically events where dancers come together to dance with each other and socialize. My favourite ones are the ones that incorporate fun dress codes.
So I had a social coming I was excited about... The dress code was "All Black" and it required that one wears a mask. I couldn't resist the urge to make my own mask.
Materials I Used
Printed Mask Template (you can download one from Zeee Internetzzz)
Gunia ya vitunguu (You can use lace)
Glue gun
Glue sticks
Black acrylic paint (If you don't have paint, you can use black nail polish)
Gold nail polish shimmer
I didn't record my process, so I'll just share a video that helped me along.
Here's what I did differently from the tutorial:
I used hot glue then painted it black once it hardened. I then added gold details with nail polish.
